The number of CE credits you earn is based on the hours you attend the conference, with up to 3 hours available on Friday and up to 10 hours on Saturday, for a maximum of 13 possible credits.

Dan Murphy, DC, DABCO

Education:

  • Undergraduate three years at the University of California, San Diego
  • 1978, graduated from Western States Chiropractic College, magna cum laude
  • 1986, Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedics
  • Have accumulated approximately the following post-graduate continuing education hours: Biomechanics: 460 hours; Orthopedics: 910 hours; X-ray: 430 hours; Neurology: 880 hours; Nutrition 310 hours.

Clinical Experience:

  • Continuous clinical practice 1978 – 2003.
  • Part-time clinical practice 2003 through present.

Undergraduate Teaching Experience:

1982 to present and continuing, part-time undergraduate faculty at Life Chiropractic College West, in Hayward, CA. Current class is Management of Spinal Disorders; Rank, full professor.

Postgraduate Teaching Experience:

Has taught approximately 1,450 twelve hour postgraduate continuing education classes.

Class topics include: biomechanics of vehicular collisions; biomechanics of spine trauma; biomechanics of pediatric vehicular collisions; soft tissue injury and repair; pain and proprioceptive neurology; the management of spine and spinal related disorders; clinical nutrition.

Has taught postgraduate classes for Life Chiropractic College West, Los Angeles Chiropractic College, Life University (Chiropractic), Logan Chiropractic College, Palmer Chiropractic College, Cleveland Chiropractic College of Kansas City, University of Western States, and Northwestern Health Science University.

  • 2001: Dr. Murphy was honored by the readers of Dynamic Chiropractic as the top vote receiver for the “Our Virtual Chiropractic Association.”
  • In 2001, Dr. Murphy was chosen “Chiropractor of the Year” by the International Chiropractic Association of California.

ERIC G. RUSSELL, DC, MBA, FPHC 

Making Sense of Vertebral Subluxation

 

The class will cover the physiology, neurology, and theoretical concepts of a vertebral subluxation.

The learning objective is for attendees to understand the current scientific, philosophical, and historical issues of vertebral subluxation.

The class will cover the evolution of vertebral subluxation in the chiropractic profession, the different concepts of vertebral subluxation, a review of basic biomechanics and neurology, and will categorize the components of subluxation.

The presentation will conclude by looking at current published research in subluxation and a discussion of the discourse happening today in the profession
concerning subluxation.

ERIC G. RUSSELL, DC, MBA, FPHC BIO:

Eric G. Russell obtained his chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1996.

Dr. Russell is currently the owner of Purely Chiropractic in Asheville, NC and works as a consultant for Dr. Brad Glowaki’s LevelUp Mentoring. He was the first Diplomate of Philosophical Chiropractic Standards (DPhCS) to be named president of a chiropractic college in the profession’s history when he served at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.

Dr. Russell was named a Fellow in Chiropractic Philosophy in 2023.

Because of his emphasis on service to the profession, Dr. Russell has received numerous professional and teaching awards. His most prestigious awards include induction to the Palmer College of Chiropractic Great
Hall of Philosophers and the Palmer Hall of Presidents, Parker College of Chiropractic Faculty of the Year,

Fellow of the International Chiropractors Association, and Chiropractor of the Year for both Illinois and Texas.

Dr. Russell strives to inspire chiropractors to be the best they can be at the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic.
