Diagnostic Imaging of Spine Trauma: Case Studies & Clinical Correlations

This case-based presentation will cover a wide variety of spine trauma, including injuries from single-event, specific trauma and from repetitive/stress related injuries, such as spondylolysis. Cases will include x-rays, CT and MRI and the discussion will involve conversations regarding optimal utilization of the various imaging modalities, as well as their strengths and limitations, with many cases involving x-ray and MRI or CT. We will also discuss potential ramifications/complications of various injuries, potential contraindications to various treatments and indications for potential need for referral for co-management with other health care providers.

Dr Michelle Mick

A smorgasbord of imaging cases: Case studies and clinical correlation.

In this presentation, using cases from colleagues dating back from the late 1990’s to recent, from the USA and Europe, a wide array of clinical cases where imaging was involved to evaluate the patient will be presented. We will revisit imaging findings, discuss clinical-imaging correlations, and determine if, when and what follow-up might be pertinent.
