ERIC G. RUSSELL, DC, MBA, FPHC BIO
ERIC G. RUSSELL, DC, MBA, FPHC BIO:
Eric G. Russell obtained his chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1996.
Dr. Russell is currently the owner of Purely Chiropractic in Asheville, NC and works as a consultant for Dr. Brad Glowaki’s LevelUp Mentoring. He was the first Diplomate of Philosophical Chiropractic Standards (DPhCS) to be named president of a chiropractic college in the profession’s history when he served at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.
Dr. Russell was named a Fellow in Chiropractic Philosophy in 2023.
Because of his emphasis on service to the profession, Dr. Russell has received numerous professional and teaching awards. His most prestigious awards include induction to the Palmer College of Chiropractic Great
Hall of Philosophers and the Palmer Hall of Presidents, Parker College of Chiropractic Faculty of the Year,
Fellow of the International Chiropractors Association, and Chiropractor of the Year for both Illinois and Texas.
Dr. Russell strives to inspire chiropractors to be the best they can be at the philosophy, science, and art of chiropractic.
Making Sense of Vertebral Subluxation
The class will cover the physiology, neurology, and theoretical concepts of a vertebral subluxation.
The learning objective is for attendees to understand the current scientific, philosophical, and historical issues of vertebral subluxation.
The class will cover the evolution of vertebral subluxation in the chiropractic profession, the different concepts of vertebral subluxation, a review of basic biomechanics and neurology, and will categorize the components of subluxation.
The presentation will conclude by looking at current published research in subluxation and a discussion of the discourse happening today in the profession
concerning subluxation.
Kevin Swenson
Kevin Swenson is a highly regarded attorney in Utah, known for his dedication to personal injury law and his community. He was raised in Bountiful, Utah, and attended Westminster College, where he worked as an ambulance driver and firefighter.
Swenson’s legal career began as a defense attorney for insurance companies, where he gained insights into the claims process. In 2010, he shifted his focus to representing injured individuals, bringing his first-hand knowledge of insurance tactics to bear against them. Swenson has been involved in thousands of lawsuits, many of which have resulted in jury verdicts. He is passionate about helping clients heal and move on from their injuries, and he enjoys spending time outdoors, with family, and traveling.
Swenson is a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 and has been recognized for his high ethical standards and professional excellence.
Kevin also serves on the board for the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah.
Dr. David F. Tate
Dr. David F. Tate is a clinical neuropsychologist with a strong background in medical imaging research. He has been involved in studies examining various developmental, clinical, and medical disorders, particularly traumatic brain injury (TBI).
Dr. Tate has held faculty appointments at several prestigious institutions, including Brown University, Boston University, Harvard Medical School, and the University of Missouri-St. Louis. His research focuses on the biological and cognitive benefits of cognitive rehabilitation treatments for service members with TBI and the long-term effects of mild traumatic brain injury among US service members and veterans. He is also actively involved in the Neuroimaging Core for the Chronic Effects of Neurotrauma Consortium (CENC), a DoD/VA funded collaborative effort. Dr.Tate’s work extends to supporting research on the imaging and cognitive effects of high altitude flying on pilots working in decompressed environments.
Dr. Tate also serves on the board for the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah.
Dr. Alina Fong
Dr. Alina Fong is a Clinical Neuropsychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Neuropsychology with an emphasis in neuroimaging from Brigham Young University. She has been involved in research and clinical practice for over 15 years, focusing on the intersection of neuropsychology and neuroimaging to improve the diagnosis and treatment of brain injuries and various mental and emotional disorders.
Dr. Fong is the Co-Founder and Clinical Director of Cognitive FX, a renowned brain injury rehabilitation clinic, and has been involved in numerous research projects and publications that have significantly impacted the lives of concussion and TBI survivors. She has also been an invited speaker at numerous symposiums and lectures, sharing her expertise and research findings.
Dr. Fong is dedicated to advancing the field of neuropsychology and providing comprehensive care for patients with brain injuries.
Dr. Fong also serves on the executive board for the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah
Dr. Joseph Kamerath
Dr. Joseph Kamerath is a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician and serves as the Senior Medical Director for Rehabilitation for Intermountain Health, responsible for rehabilitation care that occurs in a system of 33 hospitals, 60+ outpatient therapy clinics, several medical group practices, a rehabilitation research team, and 2,000 rehabilitation caregivers.
He trained in PM&R at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington DC, served 17 years in the United States Army including time in Afghanistan, Korea, and Abu Dhabi. He has directed a multidisciplinary outpatient Traumatic Brain Injury Center, worked as a PM&R Clinic Chief, a Hospital Rehabilitation Department Chair, and collaborated with the US State Department on the Trauma, Burn, and Rehabilitation Medicine initiative in the UAE.
He attained his MBA from Strayer University and has medical board certifications in PM&R and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. Clinically, he practices inpatient rehabilitation at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah.
Dr. Kamerath also serves on the board for the Brain Injury Alliance of Utah.
